Photo: NTR Jr's next film

The film Rakhee provokes curiosity, in large part through its tagline 'Highly inflammable'.

Judging by the title, and tagline, the film is likely loaded with action; given the presence in the lead of NTR Jr, there is bound to a great deal of dancing as well. Ileana and Charmme play the two women in NTR's life, with the former being the love interest while Charmme plays his sister.

Rakhee is the story of Ramakrishna, a boy next door who wakes up to the brutalities society perpetrates against women after the marriage of his sister. This awakening results in a violent reaction, rooted in the belief that the people enacting these brutalities would think twice if they knew that a protector existed who would bring his own brand of justice.

Gopal Reddy is the cameraman; Devi Sri Prasad scores the music. Mamta Mohandas, the heroine from Kerala [Images], has rendered a song in this film.

NTR needs a hit; his Ashok, released earlier this year, did not do as well as expected. For Krishnavamsi, the director too, the film is a kind of litmus test, following the mediocre performances of his earlier ventures. Ileana, too, has much at stake, especially after Khatarnak.

December 22, when the film hits the marquee, could thus prove crucial for a lot of big names involved with this film. Now to see if the 'Highly inflammable' film ignites the box office.
