After Pattiyal's stupendous box-office success and Bharath's mindblowing performance in it -- especially in the last 20 minutes of the film -- he has become the most sought after young hero in the Tamil film industry.

Pattiyal: A neat entertainer

Coming soon after Pattiyal is Cheran's production Azhakayiruken Bhayamayirukku on the Tamil New Year in which he plays an urban youngster.

Another film of his also was launched last week: Emdan Magan, which means Emdan's son. Veteran actor Nasser plays Emdan, who runs a provision store in a small town. Emdan's son is Krishna, played by Bharath. Emdan's wife and Krishna's mother is Saranya, who gave a very touching performance in Raam.

Pattiyal: Toast of the town

Gopika, who was Bharath's heroine in Jayaraj's 4 The People, is his heroine again in Emdan Magan. Lajjavathiye, the song pictured on both of them, was a rage in Kerala [Images], and it was this film that catapulted Bharath into a solo hero.

Emdan Magan is produced by Satya [Images] Jyothi films and directed by M Thirumurugan of the popular television show Mettioli, which has completed 350 episodes.
