Can't they leave them alone?" is the angry response of one of Shah Rukh's [Images] favourite co-stars on location in New York for Karan Johar's [Images] Kabhi Alvidaa Na Kehna.

This, in response to rumours floating in a section of the press that Shah Rukh's baby-girl Suhana is making an appearance alongside her papa in the film.

Says the protective co-star, "Everything about Shah Rukh, from his doing a soap ad to his not doing a soap (on television) makes news. And when there's no news coming from New York, people in Mumbai manufacture it. We've heard there's relentless stress out here (in NY), that the actors are squabbling among themselves. Oh yeah? Perhaps people back home are better informed than usThe best one is about Shah Rukh's daughter being in the film. Please, tell them to back off."

Karan dismisses the rumour of Suhana's presence in Kabhi Alvidaa as "utter rubbishthis doesn't even warrant a response."

So where and how did this rumour begin? Shah Rukh's son Aryan had made an appearance in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Perhaps the rumour was an extension of the earlier occurrence.

Celebrities allowing their kids to be seen in films isn't entirely unknown. Recently, Arshad Warsi's [Images] son Zeke had a walk-on -- or shall we say, toddle-on? -- appearance in Salaam Namaste [Images]. But that's it.

As a rule, celebrities from showbiz like to keep their kids as far away from the cameras as possible.
