Shah Rukh's daughter to make film debut

November 25, 2005 13:57 IST

Shah Rukh Khan with Aryan and SuhaniAfter Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan made his debut as a child artist in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001, SRK's daughter Suhana is set to make her movie debut.

Trade sources say Suhana will feature in Johar's upcoming Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, currently being shot in the US.

Suhana will appear in the film as a boy. Sources say she will play the role that child artist Ahsaas Channa was to play.

Ahsaas' appearance in Johar's film ran into controversy recently after her father Iqbal Channa, a Punjabi film producer, sent a legal notice to Johar alleging that the filmmaker had taken his daughter to New York for the shooting of KANK without his permission.

Channa had filed a petition in the Mumbai family court to stop his estranged wife Kulbir Kaur Badesron from taking the child out of the country. The court's order -- which restrained Kulbir from taking her daughter out of India till the final disposal of the application -- came even as the unit had already left for America.

Ahsaas was earlier seen in Ram Gopal Varma's production Vaastu Shastra.
