I like Michael Jackson.

There, I said it. Chances are, you do too. So does most of America, judging by the hysterical support the undeniably freakish superstar's ongoing child molestation trial has generated.

But the Moonwalker's woes aren't limited to the court case. Chances are, he may be acquitted. Chances are, if that happens he'll ensure that all the massive publicity will result in more record sales.

But the problem is money.

Hard as it is to conceive of Michael Jackson being broke, the fact is that the global music icon is in severe debt.

The Wall Street Journal quotes sources as saying that MJ's cash reserves ran so low earlier this year that he worried about paying his electric bills.
