Pak actress fined for kissing! February 23, 2005 18:07 IST The Pakistan government has imposed a heavy fine on actress Meera after she did a kissing scene in Mahesh Bhatt's new film, Nazar. The government is considering a ban on Pakistani actors from appearing in Indian movies, Pakistan's Online news agency reported on Wednesday. Meera is seen kissing her Indian co-star Ashmit Patel in the film. Meera, a popular actress from Lahore, had earlier complained about phone calls -- from people claiming to represent religious groups in Pakistan -- threatening her against acting in Indian films. Meera is the first actress to speak about such a problem, as a number Pakistani film personalities have stepped up their association with Bollywood. Several Indian actors have also been visiting Pakistan to interact with the movie industry there.
