'Michael Jackson wants Saag Paneer' rediff Entertainment Bureau | October 19, 2004 11:20 IST
Jackson will be in Britain for a series of concerts next month linked to his Heal The World charity. He has had his passport returned to visit Europe before his case in California in January. The pop legend has asked Raj Bajwe, the manager of Glasgow's 'Caf India' to fly to London to cook his favourite Indian meals. Bajwe, the 41-year-old chef of Britain's acclaimed Best Indian Restaurant for three years in a row, has cooked for Jackson once before -- in Los Angeles in 2000.
Speaking of Jackson's culinary preferences, Raj mentioned: 'He loves his Indian food, particularly the way we do it in Scotland. Michael doesn't drink and washes the meal down with iced water.' Cafe India's other celebrity customers include Sir Sean Connery, Hugh Grant, Keanu Reeves, Diana Ross, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rod Stewart, Billy Connolly, Lionel Richie and Emma Thompson.
