M Chhaya in Kolkata | October 18, 2004 18:04 IST

Raj Kaushal and Mandira BediRaj Kaushal will direct his first Bengali film, featuring wife Mandira Bedi in a 'small role.'

No Problem is aimed at a Bengali audience.

The English title tries to capture the essence of the cosmopolitan film, as the characters speak a mix of Bengali and English.

"It's a 'Benglish' film, where English dialogues are liberally used!" says Kaushal, whose earlier films Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi and Shaadi Ka Laddoo sank at the box office.

Kaushal says No Problem is the first in a 'quadrology' of movies he has planned on India's four metros: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi.

The cast has not been selected as yet, except for Mandira.

The director has his eye on actors from the Bengali film industry. The film revolves around three couples and their experiences on a particular night.

Kaushal will co-produce it with Vicky Tejwani. He hopes to begin shooting in December, and complete it in 15 days.
