When 19-year-old Mumait Khan - better known as the Dekh le girl in Munnabhai MBBS - was offered a role in Enrique's next music video, she could not contain herself.

"I was screaming all over the place!" Mumait laughs. She narrates how it happened. "I am under contract with Universal, with whom I did the music video Mere piya gaye Rangoon. One day, they called me and told me they had some good news for me. They told me I was to dance in an Enrique video. I was like Holy s***!"

And that's when the screaming started.

The video will not mostly likely be shot in India, and will happen only after three months.

Mumait is saving herself for the big break, as she does not want to appear in any other video before the Enrique one. "I don't want to overexpose myself by doing too many videos," she explains.

Mumait, who claims she is a 'proud Indian' despite having Pakistani parents (she was born and brought up in Mumbai) started her career as a background dancer in numerous films including Sanjay Gupta's Kaante (Ishq samundar)

It was Raveena Tandon's production Stumped -- in which she was given a few shots in a song with Salman Khan -- that helped her land Dekh le in Munnabhai...

"Vidhu Vinod Chopra saw me in the song and asked Remo for my number," she says. "Munnabhai helped me a lot. It turned me from a background dancer to a rocking item number girl!"

Mumait's latest item number is Loot gaye in Priyadarshan's Hulchul. The song will also feature her 20-year-old sister Zabyn.
