Big B throws Holi bash

Leading Bollywood personalities celebrated Holi at actor Amitabh Bachchan's residence in suburban Juhu, Mumbai, on Sunday.

Bachchan, smeared with vermilion and soaked in colours, himself welcomed the who's who of the film industry at the entrance of his bungalow 'Pratiksha'.

Along with the veteran actor, his wife Jaya, son Abhishek and friend and Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh were seen welcoming the guests, which included Jeetendra, Ranjit, Prem Chopra, Om Puri, Amrish Puri, Sanjay Khan, Rakesh Mehra and Prakash Mehra, among others.

The guest list also included film personalities like Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Fardeen Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Tushar Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Bappi Lahiri, Sudesh Bhosle, Ayub Khan, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty, Mahima Choudhary, Rani Mukherjee and Poonam Dhillion.

The arrangements included huge tubs filled with coloured water, thandai, vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies and sweets

There was also a live orchestra.

Police and security personnel posted outside the bungalow had a tough time controlling the curious onlookers. However, Bachchan personally came out to greet them.
