Sharon Stone: A lady in demand?

rediff.com Entertainment Bureau | July 22, 2004 17:07 IST

Sharon StoneIt's the season of sequels. After Shrek and Spider-Man, it's Sharon Stone's turn to join the bandwagon.

The actress who shot to fame with her bold avatar in Basic Instinct is all set to make a sequel, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The 46 year-old will receive a salary of approximately $14.3 million for Basic Instinct II.

The male lead, however, is still to be decided. Michael Douglas, who starred in the original, said 'no'.

Aaron Eckhart and Viggo Mortensen were asked to fill the space. They too declined. Currently, Jude Law, Rupert Everett, Ewan McGregor, Kurt Russell, and Benicio Del Toro are being considered for the part.

Interestingly, according to Stone's contract, she has requested for armed bodyguards around the clock and a maid service. For her hotel accommodation she will settle for nothing less than 'presidential suite with two bedrooms'.

That's not all. She wants a car at her disposal with a 'non-smoking driver'.

The report also says her list of demands includes 'three nannies, two assistants, cell phones, chef and a de-luxe motor home with air-conditioning, heating, bed, private bathroom, shower, television, VCR, refrigerator, telephone, stove, couch, stereo and cellular fax machine'.

That is one demanding lady!
