Playing a bad guy isn’t new to Ajay Devgan. Remember his wicked schizophrenic act in Deewangee?

Devgan attempts shades of grey yet again in Khakee. The police story is Devgan’s third film with director Rajkumar Santoshi after Lajja and The Legend Of Bhagat Singh. The latter fetched him his second National Award for Best Actor. Devgan and Santoshi team up again for the historical romance, Prithviraj Samyukta.

Khakee is Santoshi’s 10th directorial venture. A former assistant to Govind Nihalani, Santoshi’s claim to fame includes hard-hitting dramas like Ghayal, Damini and Ghatak. He also helmed the laugh raiser, Andaz Apna Apna and the mushy Barsaat.

The versatile Santoshi is now directing the father-son duo of Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan for Ranveer, co-starring Sanjay Dutt.
