The serial will begin airing May 12.

The story of Karishma -- The Miracle of Destiny, will span three generations and, claim its makers, capture a wide range of emotions.

Directed by Akashdeep (Ghaath), Karishma shows Karisma essaying a wide range of emotions and age groups. The serial captures the journey of a woman's life and has Kapoor playing the role of a 20 year old till she turns 70.

Based on a story by Sachin Bhowmick (Anuradha, Golmaal, Saudagar, Yeh Dillagi, Dushman) -- it is the tale of a determined young girl who goes on to become a successful businesswoman -- the serial has been shot in Mumbai and several eye-catching New Zealand locales in Auckland and Christchurch.
