What makes the film special is that it is a Rajshri production; the banner has produced blockbusters like Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! under Sooraj Barjatya's baton.

Barjatya now tells the story of 20-something Sanjana, who falls in love with Prem. A twist of fate tests her undying faith in Prem.

In true Barjatya tradition, Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon features the mandatory songs, pets, tradition, ceremonies and mush. The last emotion, in particular, is in ample supply.

There is something about Barjatya and his films. Maine Pyar Kiya was a superhit despite starring newcomers like Salman Khan and Bhagyashree.

Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! was released with minimal publicity. The family drama is one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema history.

His third release, Hum Saath-Saath Hain, did well, was but not as spectacular a hit as MPK or HAKH..!

Will Sooraj Barjatya regain his superhit status with MPKDH when it releases June 27?
