Bhishm Sahni, author of Tamas, critical

Well-known Hindi novelist Bhishm Sahni was admitted to Escorts Heart Institute following a 'massive stroke' and his condition is said to be 'critical'.

"Though all the parameters, including breath, are normal the overall condition of Sahni is critical. His left side of the body is also paralysed," institute sources told PTI on Thursday.

Author of the famous novel Tamas, the 84-year-old novelist was admitted to the institute on July 7 after suffering a massive stroke.
