Plot: Armaan is set against the backdrop of a hospital owned by Dr Sinha (Bachchan). His dream, however, is a better, state-of-the-art hospital that will care for all kinds of patients. Akash (Anil Kapoor), his son, is a neurosurgeon who is duty-bound to his profession and his father.

Enter rich and arrogant Sonia Kapoor (Zinta), who is used to getting her way. She decides that Akash is the man for her and that she can 'buy' his love through a financial agreement. The agreement states that if Akash marries Sonia, her father will help finance the new hospital.

Akash is now faced with a dilemma. He is forced to choose between his love, fellow doctor Neha Mathur (Singh), and his duty to fulfil his father's dream.
