In the early hours of September 28, Salman Khan allegedly ran his car over a few pavement dwellers, killing one and injuring three others, in a drunken haze.

The actor was let out the same day on a mere Rs 950 bail. Following a huge uproar in the media at the 'injustice', Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Chhagan Bhujbal ordered a probe into the case.

The finding: Salman did not have a license the day he was driving. His blood test revealed double the permissible alcohol level.

It is just an accident. Just because a celebrity is involved, he is being targeted. They should think about why paramedics didn't come at the accident spot to the aid of those injured immediately. Politicians' sons go scot free.

Salman is a wonderful guy. And I have seen him helping people he does not even know.

I do not know why such a big issue is being made out of an accident. Why is it being given a political colour? I have been reading in the papers about hit and run cases. Why is Salman's case so different? He has a heart of gold and has always helped the needy.

I remember a lawyer had met with an accident in Panvel (a Mumbai suburb). Many motorists passed by. No one picked up the injured man. Salman stopped his vehicle, took him to the hospital and got him treated. Why don't people see his good side? Let the law take its own course. One accident by Salman and people want to amend the laws!
