X-Men star Hugh Jackman is the new face of Micromax

Micromax has roped in Hugh Jackman, Wolverine from the film X-Men, as a brand ambassador for its upcoming flagship phone Canvas Turbo.

The company has also launched a teaser ad with the Hollywood celebrity for the upcoming smartphone.

Talking about the association with Micromax, Hugh Jackman said: “I am extremely thrilled and honoured to be part of the Micromax family. I am a huge lover of India as it is one of the most exciting countries in the world and we also share our love for cricket.”

“The new Canvas phone from Micromax is a leap in innovation with great sense of fun and amazing features that helps me balance my work with all the different roles that I play in my everyday life,” added Jackman.

According to leaked information, Micromax Canvas Turbo is likely to flaunt a Full HD screen of resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels.

The phone is likely to feature a 1.5GHz quad-core MT6589T processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU clocked at 357 MHz. The phone will run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

The device will be the highest priced among the Micromax phones, more expensive than Canvas 4 and Doodle 2.
