The Hyundai Santa Fe: Here's what it is like!
Hyundai Motors finally launched their much anticipated Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Santa Fe in the Indian market just as the festive season kick started.
The already buzzing Indian SUV market got two versions of the Hyundai Santa Fe -- the 4X2 (two wheel drive) version that has been priced at Rs 20.95 lakh and the 4x4 (four wheel drive) version priced at Rs 22.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The brawny beauty is up against some established names like Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva, Nissan X Trail, et al.
Engine
The Santa Fe is likely to be an item on many a shopping list this festive season and to make sure that it is, Hyundai has delivered a fully loaded powerpacked SUV.

The Hyundai Santa Fe: Here's what it is like!
It comes with the benefit of a CRDI (Common Rail Direct Injection) fuel system that is bound to deliver excellent engine performance and a better fuel efficiency thanks to the Euro V engine.
The car has 4 cylinders and 16 valves with DOHC (Double Over Head Camshafts), which is already a success.
The 2.2L engine is teamed with a six-speed manual transmission gearbox that produces an impressive power of 197 PS, peak power at 3800 rpm and belts out 420Nm of torque between 1800-2500 rpm.

The car has two-tone beige interiors with colour-coded wood and aluminium trim. It also includes power windows, keyless entry, A/C, CD/MP3 player, alloy wheels, ABS (Antilock Braking System), electronic stability control, and side airbags (dual front, front side and side curtain), automatic headlights, leather seats, dual-zone surround automatic climate control and several other things.
The car also has additional features like XM Nav traffic, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod/USB auxiliary inputs for MP3 players and audio controls on the steering in all models.
The exteriors have attractive bumpers, body mouldings, sporty wheels, sleek grille and fog lights for a complete look.
The material used for the interiors is good and seats are well cushioned with quality leather upholstery. The car has features like Eco-Indicator and a touch screen navigator with rear view camera.
