Japan-based SIM-Drive has developed an advanced electric car called, SIM-LEI. The prototype has successfully run 333 kilometres on a single charge.

The car takes only 4.8 seconds to reach 100 km/hour and can reach a maximum speed of 150 km/hour. It can accommodate 4 passengers.

The mass-production will start in 2013. The prototype achieved the target speed of 333 km per charge by JC-08 mode, which represents the urban traffic condition in Japan.

The energy consumption rate is favourable, says the company.
