Just three months into 2012, and we have already seen some interesting television commercials. Some give us hope, while others strum an emotional chord by saying happiness is more important the money.

On and all, it seems like a good note to start the year. We can hope it will only get better. Take a look at some best ads in 2012 (in no particular order) and let us know if you agree with us. In case, we have missed out on some please point it out.

Volkswagen is playing with the idea of reincarnation to promote its 'Once in a lifetime opportunity' offer.

The ad features a typical Parsi man who is extremely finicky about keeping his vehicle, Polo, speckles.

What is so different about this ad is that Volkswagen doesn't talk about the offer, but generates curiosity around it, leading the viewers to the showroom for inquires. Well, it's a job well done..is all we can say!

As part of the new positioning, the brand has unveiled exciting new packaging for both 7UP and Nimbooz with its new international logo.

The ad film features a dance-off between Sharman and a penguin. Shot in Australia, the film is choreographed by renowned Hollywood choreographer, Simon Lind of Happy Feet 2 fame.

IDBI Federal Life Insurance's new campaign promotes its child insurance plans, which builds on the tagline - Plan jo fail na ho.

This commercial features two TVCs that talk about how the protagonist had to ditch their plans of becoming professionals like engineers and doctors, because their fathers didn't have adequate money to support the education. The TVC ends with a child's voice-over that advises the viewer to adopt IDBI Federal Life Insurance's child insurance plan and avoid such instances in their child's life.

'I don't know where am I going...but I like the direction' ...this pretty much sums up the new commercial featuring Katrina Kaif.

She represents today's youth who is always rearing to go, no matter what. They don't like to sit around and mop, but like to take charge. This commercial also highlights the new-age mother-daughter relationship, where the mother is taking tips from the daughter.
