Wipro bags multi-million euro deal

IT major Wipro has bagged a three-year "multi-million" Euro deal from Dutch pharma major Akzo Nobel for providing infrastructure management services.

"Wipro will help in creating a single IT environment by providing infrastructure management services for distributed sales centres across multiple locations in the US and Europe," Wipro Technologies vice president, (manufacturing solutions), N S Bala said in a statement.

The exact financial details of the deal with the Dutch firm, focused on pharma, coatings and chemicals, was not revealed.

Wipro said it would also use its global delivery platform and quality procedures and maintain and enhance a wide range of applications like SAP.
