Quite expectedly, queries focused mainly on the unpredicatble nature of the market as also on if Sensex will touch 13,000 during our weekly market chat. While stating that another small correction was in the offing, market expert Pranav Sanghavi advised investors to wait and watch before buying or selling now. Here is the transcript:

PRANAV SANGHAVI says,
Hello everyone. Welcome to the chat and let's begin.

mik asked, Hi Pranav, Do u again see the may-like crash in near future? esp when mkt is heading for all time highs.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Mik, I don't think it could crash in May like fashion but another small correction could be in the offing before the market moves higher to break earlier highs.
Gaurav asked, HI Pranav
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hello Gaurav.
Amit asked, Hi Rranav
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Amit.
mik asked, I have invested in sugar sector stocks like Balrampur and BajajHindustan, whts ur take on these for 6-10 months period?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I am bullish on both in the longer term.
nagaraj asked, what is the prospects of Cement scrips like UtraTec and ACC
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I think the cement stocks will perform well over the next couple of years atleast. Both are good buys.
bullbearism asked, Pranav, what do you think abt day trading ? It lures me so much I am gonna go for it. your advice ?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Well, day trading is a high risk gamble which I would not advise to take. Unless you can sit in front of a screen throughout the day and most importantly have the basic knack and discipline of a veteran trader I would advise you against it.
vaikund asked, What is the prospect for hotels. Especially hotel leela and Taj GVK. Can we enter at this level. How it is positioned via viz Indian hotels
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Both these hotel companies do not have a lot of properties under the company. But they are planning expansions. Within the hotel sector I owuld go with the frontline stocks like Indian Hotels.
vaikund asked, What is the prospect for SHREE cement. Can we enter at this stage
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I do not follow that stock, but cement stocks in general will perform well in the future.
PKJ asked, You asked, HI PRANAV...RELIANCE NATURAL HAS PICKED UP OVER 15% IN LAST COUPLE OF DAYS..DO U THINK IT IS WISE TO HOLD OR OFFLOAD IF IT IS OVER THE COST PRICE NOW. You asked, What would you recomend.. CIPLA or Ranbaxy for long run. Also National Alluminium or SAIL. You asked, Can infosys be bought at current levels for a target of 2100 by year end (dec). Also if have to select one what would it be Infosys or TCS. And outlook on WIPRO
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, You could sell Rel Nat to book profit and switch to a quality growth stock. Both Cipla and Ranbaxy are good pharma plays. NALCO and SAIL are commodity stocks you would need to watch the commodity markets regularly. I would look at TCS, WIPRO and Infosys as I strongly believe they will continue their 30% plus growth rates in the future as they have in the past.
Gaurav asked, What is the prospect of real state stock...
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Real Estate stocks have run up recently because of the boom in the real estate markets. But stocks with infrastructure development will do well and if there is no immediate slump in the property market then even the real estate players will do well.
indi asked, when will markets stay at 12K or will it fall again?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, A correction in a rising market is only healthy. whereas no one can predict a bottom it is always wiser to buy on dips in such corrections.
bullbearism asked, my mamashree does his day trading on NSE. vot is better, NSE or BSE for day trading, of course.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I guess you have more depth in NSE and if it is in the Futures segment then only NSE.
kva asked, I hold 1600 shares of KCPSUGIND average price 62. What shall I do as the stock is now quoting around Rs.35/-. Hold, sell or buy to average?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I am sorry I don't follow that stock. If you can book a loss switch to a frontline sugar stock if you wish to stay in the sector.
sandeepbansal asked, hi pranav
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Sandeep.
vaikund asked, Can you suggest some good power sector scripts. How is Siemens compared to BHEL. Which one is better script
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, NTPC is a good play in the power sector it has the potential to become a blue chip in the future. Both are good engineering plays.
Tarun asked, Sir, I hv 1000 shares @ 13/- of ifci, what i should do.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, If you hold you could see you purchase price. Sell then and switch.
Karpagavalli asked, hi, which stocks specifically do you think will go up, say, in the next one month? i am looking at making some quick profits, so i am looking for some stable stocks.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, If you feel the index is going to rise then invest with the index stocks and you will make money.
DEZ asked, What do u see LIC HOUSING FINANCE closing at this week? Is the trend upwards?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, As I have mentioned earlier, I am not a technical analyst and completely against the idea of daily targets. So unfortunately, I won't be able to help you.
DEZ asked, Whats in store for HPCL? Will it move upward from here?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, HPCL is a tricky stock. It is a oil refiner and its margins totally depend on the price of crdue. If crude oil falls the price will go up and vice versa.
RK asked, Hi Pranav, how strong are the world trends in influencing indian stock market
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi RK, the global trends will definately affect our markets but to an extent. After all, it will be the performance of our corporates.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Its a good buy for long term.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Kishor.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hi Ravi.
shilpi asked, hi sir i wud like to know which stocks wud give gud returns and be safe at this time to enter

DEZ asked, what do u think of finolex buy @ 100.4 ?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, For a longer term you could look at it.
sachin asked, i hv 1000 share of srei @78, what should i do
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, SREI is a infrastructure finance company and it should do well in the future if they do not have NPA type investments already in their portfolio.
quu asked, whats ur opinion on centurion bank of punjab
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Well, they have merged with LKB now and Sabre Capital has agreed to pump in funds to enhance the stability of the merged entity. One could look at it with a 2 year perspective.
Karpagavalli asked, what do you think is the prospect for SBI, Voltas and S Kumars?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, SBI and Voltas will perform well in the future. But S Kumars like most textile stocks have not yet performed. I would study carefully before investing with S Kumars.
ET asked, Hi Pranav
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Hello ET.
jai asked, Hi Pranav - what is best for the investments - large, midcap or small caps
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would go with large frontline stocks. Also with quality mid cap stocks off their earlier highs due to the correction in May.
msingh asked, Hi, i bought sbi today at 987.1. I expect it to grow well. Your inputs needed.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I am also bullish on SBI. Post a correction and its quarterly results, I see it breaching it's earlier highs.
kishor asked, BSE position
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, BSE SENSEX stands at 12,095 currently.
Bandopant asked, What is opinion on sail?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Having gone into the Futures one could look at it wiht a short term out look but in the longer term the commodity markets around the world will dictate steel prices. Steel will continue to see huge demands in the next 3 to 4 years atleast.
ankit asked, hie pranav hie pranav ...............first of all congrats to all investors as market is in 12000

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I am bullish on ITC.
SENTHIL asked, UR TAKE ON GE SHIPPING?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Shipping is a cyclical business. The freight rates have witnessed a steady rise over the past couple of years. In a few quarters they could plateau. But the frieght movement in absolute volumes is only going to increase in the future.
amit_ag5 asked, What do you think of Reliance Petro & HLL
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, RPL will see grwoth after atleast 3 to 4 years once it's production begins. HLL one could look as a frontline FMCG player.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Zee is seeing good volumes and is rising steadily. Mid-day also could be looked at post it's results. The media stocks should perform well with growing corporate profits which could spell bigger ad spending.
Akshay asked, Hi Pranav, could you tell us some good mid-cap stocks from across sectors that are worth investing in at this time? Will be grateful. Thanks.
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would look at, IDFC, Mid-day, NTPC, Praj Industries, Syndicate Bank. But there are so many good mid cap plays in the market.
