Last updated on: August 02, 2005 20:01 IST

Air Deccan on Tuesday announced a tie-up with Reliance Infocomm that would allow passengers to book tickets through the cellular company's retail chain of 241 broadband Reliance Web World outlets across 104 cities.

A commission of 5 per cent of ticket sales through the centres would be given to Reliance Web World, Air Deccan MD Capt. G R Gopinath said.

Passengers can now book tickets, pay for it, reschedule and also cancel it and collect refund from web world outlets anywhere in the country, he added.

"The ticket delivery mechanism solves the common problem faced by passengers when travel agents close their offices by early evening, forcing many to travel to the airport to book their tickets late at night," Gopinath said.
