Tata Motors, the country's third-largest carmaker, on Thursday unveiled a new stationwagon model based on the Indigo mid-size car and a new version of its premium small car Indica.

The Indigo Marina car would be launched in the next few months at a price of Rs 600,000, Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata told reporters in New Delhi.

He said the car would be available in both petrol and diesel versions. The new-look Indica V2 would be available for sale immediately and at the same price as the earlier variant, he said.

Tata Motors now has a capacity of producing 150,000 passenger vehicles annually, which Tata said would be increased to meet the rising demand. He, however, declined to give details. Work was also on to develop higher-capacity engines for future models, Tata added.
