Onyomo, a mobile search company, has launched its mobile search service on GPRS site www.owap.in.

GPRS users can access the WAP site and find all relevant information on categories such as current movies, restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, atms etc in an interactive way.  This would be of great convenience for GPRS users to find what they need while on the move.

The content on owap.in is local and comes from well-researched sources, taking into account users' preferences and needs.  The service will allow all GPRS users across all operators to access local information at no additional fee.

At the moment, the service is available for people of Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Pune and will soon be extended to those of other towns/cities.

GPRS Mobile Search Engine has been commercially launched across these locations on May 16.

GPRS users can access this service by logging on to owap.in on their mobile phone browser.  They can select their city of choice, a preferred location (optional), e.g Bandra, and specify the service of interest, eg Chinese Restaurants, that they are looking for.

Users will be able to find reviews, ratings and other details on restaurants, movies etc. They will also be able to directly call the restaurants from their phone or save the details for future use or forwarding to friends. SMS Find OWAP to 8558 for more service details.
