Satyam Computer Services posted 37.11 per cent increase in profit after tax on Friday at Rs 397.50 crore (Rs 3.97 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 289.90 crore (Rs 2.89 billion) for the same quarter last year.
The total income of the company increased 38.12 per cent to Rs 1,778.40 crore (Rs 17.78 billion) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, from Rs 1,287.52 crore (Rs 12.87 billion) for the corresponding quarter a year ago, Satyam informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
For the year ended March 31, Satyam recorded a PAT of Rs 1,423.23 crore (Rs 14.23 billion) as compared to Rs 1,239.75 crore (Rs 12.39 billion) for the year-ago period and the total income rose to Rs 6,410.08 crore (Rs 64.10 billion) from Rs 5,012.22 crore (Rs 50.12 billion).
As per the unaudited consolidated results in terms of Indian GAAP the group posted a PAT of Rs 393.58 crore (Rs 3.93 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 284.65 crore (Rs 2.84 billion)
