Satyam Computer Services Ltd on Wednesday launched a Global Development Centre in Melbourne, Australia, which is the company's largest centre outside India.

The GDC would serve as a major technological development and software support centre for the company's Asia-Pacific operations, Satyam informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

The GDC has a built-up area of 3,000 square metre and is equipped with top-of-the-line infrastructure like video-conferencing facilities and high-end security features such as the biometric identification system, it said.

The centre would provide end-to-end IT services to the company's Australian and international clients, it said.
