Raju has heart problems, says counsel

April 22, 2009 09:51 IST
Satyam founder B Ramalinga Raju, who is now housed in the Chanchalguda central prison, is suffering from cardiac-related health problems.

Raju's defence counsel said this while objecting to the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) plea for a polygraph test (lie-detection test) on Raju today before the XIV additional chief metropolitan magistrate.

He argued that the CBI had already filed the charge sheet after completing the investigation on April 7 and there was no need for administering the polygraph test on him.

In another development,  Satyam today announced that Euronext Amsterdam NV approved the company's application for delisting its American Depository Shares from the Euronext from the Euronext on April 17. The delisting is with effect from May 20.
