October 07, 2005 14:45 IST
Singapore Airlines will fly to Hyderabad four days a week from October 30, making the Andhra Pradesh capital its eighth destination in India.

The service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, the airline said, adding that SIA regional subsidiary, SilkAir, would stop operating its flights to Hyderabad from October 28.

SIA would also introduce two new services to Bangalore, increasing the total number from three to five. The addition of the new flights would take the total number of flights from India to Singapore by SIA to 45.

SilkAir would continue its operations to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram with 12 non-stop services.

Besides Bangalore and Hyderabad, SIA also operates to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.
