Rajan Mittal takes over as FICCI president

Rajan Bharti Mittal, vice-chairman and managing director of Bharti Enterprises took over as president of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) at the conclusion of its 82nd annual general meeting (AGM).

Rajan Bharti Mittal has succeeded Harsh Pati Singhania who is also the Managing Director of JK Paper. An alumnus of Harvard University, he is actively involved in overseeing the activities of the company at the corporate level and is also involved in many of the new business ventures of the Group.

Bharti Enterprises is one of India's leading business groups with interests in telecom, financial services, retail, manufacturing, realty and agri-business.

Bharti Airtel, a group company of Bharti Enterprises, is one of the major integrated telecom services provider with operations in India and Sri Lanka.

The company has joint ventures with several global leaders like AXA for financial services, Del Monte Pacific for its agri-business and Wal-Mart for retail and wholesale operations.
