Encouraged by the response, UAE postal service has re-launched its parcel service to India, which guarantees delivery to the destination within two weeks and more value-added features complemented by attractive prizes in weekly draws.
The success of 'Bharat Parcel Guaranteed' service has prompted "us to add new benefits to the scheme, as a reward to our loyal customers," Abdullah Al Daboos, director general of Emirates Post said, adding "the service will provide a greater incentive for our customers to send parcels to their near and dear ones in India."
He said Emirates Post has tied up with a private Indian courier company to ensure timely and safe delivery of the parcels across India.
The collaboration has eliminated the problems that sometimes affected our Indian parcel service in the past, he said.
The promotion, 'Bharat Parcel Guaranteed' will run from March 12 to December 31 and is available at all 78 post offices of Emirates Post across the UAE.
Major highlights of the service are direct delivery to home or office and a money-back guarantee if the parcel is not delivered to the destination within two weeks. Users of the service will also get a free pack of 'Postcard Millionaire' with each parcel (until March 31).
The weekly prizes in the raffle draw include a digital camera and ten mobile phones from Cellucom-Nokia, sponsors of the promotion.
The enhanced service also offers tracking facility either through Emirates Post's website or through the call centre.
