C-X75 is a new beginning on the road of innovation and technological advancement by Jaguar where they have evolved a test bed for their journey into creating high-performance vehicles that pump out low emissions.

James bond movies have always had a strong relationship with fascinating cars, and once again the newest flick, SPECTRE has hit the screens worldwide, expressing the same affinity.

When the Bond itself glides in the Aston Martin DB10 in the Rome, the main enemy, Hinx sets out in the sleek Jaguar C-X75 for the pursuit of 007 in the dark nights.

"The most exclusive DB ever” according to the Aston Martin officials, is a 10 units run, all of which are expected to be used in the film rather than for sale.

All the 10 units were handcrafted at Aston's Gaydon headquarters, where the car has been exclusively designed and engineered for the Bond Series Movie.

While the villian's ride being not in production, the two fully functioning prototypes of C-X75 were built by Special Vehicle Operations unit of Jaguar Land Rover, in conjunction with Williams Advanced Engineering.

Not only this, Jaguar further built eight C-X75s that were powered by V8 petrol engine using a space frame rather than the prototypes' carbon-fibre tub, to be used for the stunts.

The full hybrid model that served as "hero car" and was used for all the close-up and static filming is a four-wheel-drive plug-in parallel hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV).

C-X75 is a new beginning on the road of innovation and technological advancement by Jaguar where they have evolved a test bed for their journey into creating high-performance vehicles that pump out low emissions.

This car is a working prototype with huge power and the first ever carbon composite monocoque chassis of Jaguar.

During the film, the replicas of C-X75 have reportedly escalated a 45? wall, cleared a 25 feet jump and fell from 4-5 feet at various instances but none of them broke.

The Internal Combustion Engine of the hybrid composition is a Formula one-inspired 1.6-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged and supercharged, that results in 502bhp at a flying 10,000rpm whereas the combined power output is more than 850hp and 1000Nm of torque.

This huge power churning mill is mated to a 7-speed automated manual transmission that allows shifting of gear in just 200 milliseconds.

This “Good to be bad” Jaguar aids 0-160kmph in just 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 321kmph that theoretically exceeds up to 354kmph.

The C-X75 can also sprint for 60km in pure electric vehicle mode.

According to the reports the battery kit in the C-X75 is competent of supplying more than 300kW over the full state of the charge window which is claimed to be the PHEV package with highest continuously rated power in the world.

According to Adrian Hallmark, the Global Brand Director Jaguar, C-X75 programme epitomizes the pinnacle of Jaguar's engineering and design expertise with flowing exterior lines and deployable aerodynamics. Spectre is undoubtedly doing well at the box offices worldwide.

As far as the legendary automaker Jaguar is concerned, the company has been in the news for launching its new Jaguar Range Rover Evoque SUV 2016 in the Indian market priced at Rs 471,00,00.
