While most of us spend a considerable number of years working hard to secure a safe future, it is imperative that we also take prudent investment decisions. 

Financial planners are generally all out advising clients to have a diversified portfolio.

And as they say, putting all your eggs in one basket is a bad idea as it would impact ones financial goals.

If one invests 80 per cent of his money in stocks of any one particular sector for a short-term, it would be disastrous if the market crashes taking the stock values to negligible levels.
