November 25, 2004 15:36 IST
Omega, the leading Swiss watch manufacturer, on Thursday announced the launch of two exclusive boutiques in Mumbai.

Speaking at the launch, Stephen Urquhart, President of Omega International, said that the Omega brand had a strong market in India and opening of exclusive boutiques would help in showcasing it in a major way.

The opening of exclusive boutiques was one of the key elements of the business strategy planned by the company in various countries, including China, where it has nearly 35 flagship shops, he said.

The company plans to open many more boutiques in India in the future. "The opening of new boutiques would help in showcasing both the image and profile of Omega", he said.

The two boutiques, located at Nariman Point and the Grand Hyatt Plaza in suburban Andheri have been designed in contemporary international style with exclusive furniture and display windows, Stephen said.
