Shourie to accompany PM to NAM summit

Divestment and Telecom Minister Arun Shourie will accompany Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the Non-Aligned Summit in Kuala Lumpur.

Shourie is slated to address two business sessions during the Summit, which is being addressed by economic ministers of the participating countries.

The minister will speak at a special ministerial session on facilitating trade and investment links among South-South countries.

He will also address the India-Business Partnership session.

India is expected to focus on multilateral economic issues and cooperation among the developing countries besides highlighting the need to counter international terrorism. 

The prime minister will also address the first ever meeting of NAM Business Forum on Sunday along with the Presidents of South Africa and Indonesia and prime ministers of Malaysia and Thailand.
