Microsoft India has introduced an advanced training programme for final year BEĀ  or BTech students across India with specialisation in computer sciences and information technology.

Designed to bridge the gap between the academic and corporate world for students interested in pursuing a career in technical resolution, this programme offers in-depth technical training, mentoring and on-the-job experience based out of the Microsoft Global Technical Support Center in Bangalore.

The GTSC Trainee Programme serves as a pipeline for the global Microsoft Academy for College Hires programme. MACH has been created within the sales, marketing and services group at Microsoft to accelerate career development for talented college hires around the world.

"India has always been an integral part of the global technical movement and the programme gives students in the region the resources and tools they need to scale their skills and gain real-world experience."

Candidates are selected for the programme after extensive testing and technical evaluation.

Once enrolled, students become a part of the Microsoft GTSC as a trainee engineer, interacting with the technical support engineers and gain a deeper technical knowledge and broader understanding across multiple technical environments.

To make the programme's test accessible to a larger group, the programme was rolled out nationwide working with placement cells of colleges and allowing online registrations.
