MP set to woo US investors

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur is leading a five member delegation to Chicago, New York via London from 25th September 2005 to attract foreign investment in Madhya Pradesh.

Gaur will leave New Delhi on 25th September to London where he will have a luncheon meeting with Lord Swraj Paul of Caparo Group.

Gaur will participate in 'Focus India Show' on 27 and 28 September, which is being jointly organised by FICCI and Commerce and Industry Ministry.

The 'Focus India Show' will be inaugurated by the Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath.

During the inaugural session of 'Focus India Show' Gaur along with the delegates will interact with US businessmen and NRIs and invite them to invest in Madhya Pradesh.

Gaur will also visit New York to meet entrepreneurs of Indus Group, and hold discussions with them regarding investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh ranks 5th among all states in the country in terms of export oriented units with an investment at $2.0 billion between 1991-2003. The gross output to investment ratio in Madhya Pradesh is the 2nd highest in the country.

After the execution and completion of the current projects the GDP of the state is likely to double by the year 2009-2010.
