Women prefer to travel more than men when it comes to work, says a recent study. The survey also shows more women than men believe technology can reduce business travel.
Around 94 per cent women in India prefer work-related travel, compared with 87 per cent men, says the survey conducted by Tripadvisor.in.
The survey, conducted among 2,500 travellers and more working in various sectors, has also revealed that men are lagging behind women when it comes to looking at technology as an alternative to reduce business travel.

The site, through its first travel survey, discovered that companies were conservative on travel assignments this year. Over 65 per cent respondents said their business travel did not go up or went up only marginally from 2010.
However, outbound business travel increased, as over 73 per cent respondents travelled overseas multiple times this year.
According to the results, about 54 per cent women as compared to only nine per cent men are more likely to extend business trips to make time for personal holiday.
Launched in 2008, the website attracts three million visitors every month seeking guidance on planning trips to different destinations.
It offers advice from real travellers and links to booking sites. "Having grown six times in three years, we aim to become the leading travel site in India very soon," said Ganju.
