Moser Baer launches 4GB USB flash drives

Extending its line of data storage products, Moser Baer India Ltd introduced on Wednesday range of USB flash drives in the Indian market.

"The launch complements our existing optical media business and we will leverage our strong branding and marketing network to emerge as the top player with a significant market share in this segment also," Moser Baer India Executive Vice President Bhaskar Sharma said in a

statement on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The USB drives, targeting corporate and small office home environment would have one million rewritable cycles and be able to retain data up to 10 years.

The company's USB flash drives have a capacity of ranging from 512 MB to 4 GB. The high end range drives with a capacity of 4 GB would be capable of holding 1,000 MP3 songs or high definition images and MPEG4 video footage, it added.
