Mats Granryd to head Ericsson India

Swedish telecom equipment supplier Ericsson on Thursday appointed Mats Granryd as managing director of Ericsson India Pvt Ltd and head of market units for India and Sri Lanka.

Mats Granryd would be leading Ericsson's efforts to provide mobile and broadband Internet communications to the growing Indian telecom market, a company statement said.

Granryd has replaced Jan Campbell who would now be responsible for the company's Central European operations.

Before joining Indian operations, Granryd was the president of the Ericsson Mobile Systems - CDMA Business Unit in San Diego, USA.
