Deepak Singhania to head LML

UP-based two wheeler maker LML Ltd on Wednesday said the company's chairman MRB Punja has resigned from his position due to health reasons and Deepak Singhania had taken over as the chairman and managing director.

The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Punja had resigned from the chairman and directorship with effect from October 28 on account of health reasons.

LML said its board, which met on the same day, had approved Punja's resignation and also the appointment of Singhania as the chairman and managing director with immediate effect.

Punja, who joined LML in 1988, became its chairman the next year.
