Dr Reddys Laboratories announced on Tuesday that Kalpana Morparia has been appointed as an additional director on its board.
The board of directors of Dr Reddys made the appointment by way of a circular resolution, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Kalpana Morparia is chief strategy and communications officer of ICICI Group and was joint managing director of ICICI Bank till May 31.
A graduate in law from Bombay University, Morparia joined ICICI Limited in 1975 and led the
ICICI groups major corporate structuring initiative, the merger of ICICI Limited with ICICI Bank to create Indias second largest bank.
The other luminaries appointed as independent and non whole-time directors, include Omkar Goswami (founder and chairperson of CERG Advisory Private Limited), JP Moreau (Executive Vice President of Ipsen Group) amongst others.
Chairman Anji Reddy, Vice Chairman and CEO G V Prasad and MD and COO Satish Reddy form the whole-time directors in the company.
