June 22, 2005 17:39 IST
Global IT solutions and services provider Infinite Computer Services will increase its workforce to 5,000 by the end of this fiscal from 3,000.

As a part of attracting local talent for its global delivery model, Infinite had increased headcount to 2,500 from 1,250 in March 2004.

Currently, Infinite has 3,000 people, which is expected to grow to 5,000 by the end of FY 2005-06, the company said in a release.

The company has also established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, and would recruit 280 personnel at this centre by this year-end, the release said.

"With the setting up of the subsidiary in Malaysia, we have extended our global footprint. The proposed development facility in Malaysia will further augment our offshore capabilities", Upinder Zutshi, Infinite CEO (Asia-Pacific and Europe) said.

The company achieved revenues of $85 million for the fiscal ended March 31, 2005 and aims to grow at 40 per cent in the next couple of years, it added.
