Fly Chennai-S'pore & back @ Rs 12,000

Jet Airways on Wednesday commenced its daily flights between Chennai and Singapore.

The flight operated by a Boeing 737-800 aircraft left Chennai at 10.55 hrs on December 7, and arrived in Changi International Airport, Singapore at 17.40 hrs

On board the inaugural flight were six young achievers from Chennai in the field of sport, extra curricular and co- curricular activities - Shivnaren Srinivasan (golf) Aarthy(skating), N Venkateswaran (swimming), S R Sarath(swimming) K K Narmada (Table Tennis) and S Akshay (academic topper).

"We have enhanced our connectivity to Singapore with the addition of a second daily flight to Singapore, this time from Chennai. In April 2005, Jet Airways had launched its operations to Singapore with a daily flight from Mumbai," Peter Luethi, chief operating officer, Jet Airways said.

An inaugural economy class return fare of Rs12,000 is being offered on the Chennai-Singapore-Chennai route, for those who book tickets before 25th December 2005.

Likewise on the Singapore-Chennai-Singapore route, a Club Premiere  return fare of SGD 1500 and an economy class return fare of SGD 600 is on offer.

These tickets must be purchased before 15th December 2005, and the journey must commence by 31 December 2005.

Special inaugural companion free fares are available for Club Premiere passengers traveling on the Chennai-Singapore-Chennai sector.

For an attractive Rs 46,060, a passenger can travel together with a companion on both sectors of the journey. This offer is valid only on tickets purchased on or   before December 25, 2005.
