ISB's Mohali campus to have 4 centres of excellence

The Indian School of Business' upcoming campus in Mohali will have four centres of excellence in the areas of healthcare management, public policy, manufacturing and infrastructure.

ISB, which at present has a single campus in Hyderabad, will set up its second campus in Mohali at an initial investment of about Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion).

"The new campus would have four centres of excellence, focused on healthcare management, public policy, manufacturing and infrastructure," ISB Senior Director (Career Advancement Studies, Admissions & Financial Aid) V K Menon said.

There would be a Max India Institute of Healthcare Management, Bharti Institute of Public Policy,

BML Munjal Hero Honda Institute of Manufacturing Excellence and Innovation and Punj Lloyd Institute of Physical Infrastructure Management.

The first academic session at Mohali for the Post-Graduate Programme in Management would start in April next year, with an initial intake of 210 students.

Along with the Hyderabad campus, ISB would have a total intake of 770 students in the next academic session (2012-13).

"Also, students would be given the option of studying both in Hyderabad as well as Mohali," Menon said.

For the Mohali campus, the initial investment of Rs 200 crore (Rs 2 billion) would be equally contributed by leading industrialists - Analjit Singh , Atul Punj, Pawan and Sunil Munjal and Rakesh Bharti Mittal. They are also founding supporters of ISB.
