Germany woos Indian investors

November 16, 2004 14:14 IST
The German state of Baden-Wuerttemberg has invited the Indian business community to invest there claiming it was "centrally located and fast emerging as the high-tech doorway to Europe".

"The state-owned agency, Baden-Wuertemberg International, will provide requisite facilities and location to the prospective Indian investors and find business partners for them," H D Roth, commissioner of industrial locations, Baden-Wuerttemberg, said at a meeting with Indian businessmen in New Delhi on Monday.

Roth, who is leading a 11-member business delegation, asserted that Baden-Wuerttemberg was fast emerging as the high-tech doorway to Europe and could prove beneficial for India, an Indo-German chamber of commerce statement said.

The delegation would also make presentations at Pune and Bangalore to woo Indian investors.
