IIIT-H to set up three campuses

The International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad will have three campuses in Krishna, Adilabad and Kadapa districts by July next year, chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy said.

Speaking at the convocation of IIIT-H, he said the government would provide land and other support for starting  three campuses as part of its endeavour to promote IT skills among students across the state.

The IIIT-H, ranked among the top five in terms of placement according to an annual survey, has announced 100 per cent placements this year with annual pay package of each graduate ranging between Rs 5.2 lakh and Rs 9.5 lakh.

IIIT-H was started nine years ago, and five years after launching the postgraduate programmes, it has produced over 40 PhDs and 150 MS (research) students pursuing research in various areas of communication and IT.
