Harvard B-School to organise realty course

March 10, 2008 19:41 IST

To discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by the South Asian real estate sector, Harvard Business School will organise an education programme in the country with the leaders of the industry.

The education programme, to be organised at Hyderabad on June 17 to 20, 2008 in association with HBS India Research Center, would be addressed by HBS faculty and it is designed for senior executives of the real estate industry.

"Like so many aspects of the South Asia economy, real estate is experiencing rapid growth in a region that is fast becoming a major player in the global

finance and investment marketplace. Our programme will explore the opportunities and obstacles for industry leaders planning for long-term success as this expanding industry matures and becomes increasingly sophisticated," Harvard Business School Lecturer John Macomber said.

During the programme, participants would examine critical issues important to leadership in South Asia's rapidly changing real estate environment.

Topics, including project and corporate finance, development and leadership, would be explored using HBS case studies from around the globe, Harvard Business School said.
