GMG Airlines plans daily flights to Kolkata

Bangladesh's GMG Airlines plans to introduce daily flights to Kolkata, airline officials said on Tuesday.

Daily flights would be introduced from Thursday. Currently, it flies twice a week to Kolkata, the officials were quoted as saying by the Daily Star newspaper.

GMG started domestic services in 1998 and first connected Kolkata with the southeastern port city of Chittagong last September, followed by Dhaka-Kolkata flights from December, they said.

GMG, will soon start flights to Colombo and is also waiting for completion of formalities to connect Dhaka with Kathmandu.

GMG Airlines is a part of the GMG group based in Bangladesh. GMG presently flies to different cities in Bangladesh - Chittagong, Sylhet, Jessore, Barisal, Cox's Bazar. GMG Airlines operates 32 flights everyday.
